Moving to Southwick
Hi,
I am soon to be moving to Southwick with my family and having never surfed anywhere in Brighton keen to know what the vibe is like?
My usual spot is the Witts with the occasional trip down SW and abroad.
I have always found the Witts to have a good vibe and everyone is really freindly.
Is this the same for Southwick and the Harbour?
Is the Marina really localised and a "NO GO" area or is that just an urban myth?
Hopefully see you in the water soon.
Toby

Re: Moving to Southwick
Never had any issues at any of the shoreham breaks, not surfed Marina but I'm sure it's the same as everywhere - stick to the normal surfing etiquette and you'll be fine

Re: Moving to Southwick
Hot Pipe is a good vibe with surfers of all abilities, parking in Carats car park. Witts picks up more swell but Brighton can hold the wind better with shelter from the pipe, piers etc in prevailing SW'lies. See you out there

Re: Moving to Southwick
I honestly didn't think that was sarcasm!
Was it?
If I did win the lottery I would probably still live in Southwick.
I would just have more holidays and work part time.

You would still live in Southwick ??? Are you also banging your sister?
You can't be play Euromillions, you must still be playing Spot the Ball or The Pools.

Re: Moving to Southwick
Thats a half million pound house on Southwick Green by the way.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but I forgive you.
I am still looking forward to living there and I am sure my two boys will also.
See you out there I hope.

Re: Moving to Southwick
Being honest here, southwick probably has some of the worst just about surfable waves in the world. If you're getting excited about groveling in that crap, and spending half a million to be a "local" you should probably seek psychiatric help.
You're right at the bottom of the pile of desperation for a wave on a global scale. nothing to be proud of there.
